2018 Update~

Hello everyone!

I finally GRADUATED~ Sac State Alumni! Class of 2017!

I hope the year has been a good start for you. I had a whole paragraph that I typed out before copying it then erasing it to go and copy another item and lost it all... So sad... But, I wrote it back in December so I'll just summarize what has been going on since my last post back in November.

School

It was my last semester at Sac State so I focused on my last three classes that I had. Two were towards my TESOL certificate and TESOL minor while I took my final elective for my Asian Studies major. I finally graduated on the 15th of December with my BA in Asian Studies concentrating in Korea with a minor in TESOL, along with a TESOL certificate. I had a few problems but I eventually got my degree processed on the 10th of January. I will upload pictures soon on a separate post~ Check out the post HERE.

EPIK

I will be dedicating another whole blog post for this topic so look forward to it. I'm currently working on the remaining application requirements and waiting for my documents to come in before I write another email to my coordinator. BUT, I did pass the interview, so I'm in good standing for the late intake. I really want to go in for the February intake to meet the other teachers and make friends during the orientation... I'll just have to wait until I get my Criminal Record Check back from being notarized (I hope I get that soon!). If I do, I am being considered to go in February.

Update 5/3/18: It looks like due to my documents (Diploma and Certificate) coming in late, I was not accepted into the program. I would have like to receive an email from EPIK if I was dropped or not. But since I received no contact (even after a few emails), I most likely believe that I didn't make the cut. I will be looking at other options or will look to apply again. I will upload my experience with my new experience when I apply again.

Two Days and One Night in SF

I will also be writing a post on this trip that I went on with my friends! This was our first trip together in another city! Look forward to it. There's a lot of food involved~

Upcoming Trip

I will be going on my first ever cruise to Ensenada, Mexico from Long Beach, California with my sisters, mom, aunt, and cousins. It will be our first girls-only trip! The date is slowly coming up (beginning of February) and I'm very excited for the trip! I got my swimming outfit ready and I bought some traveling size containers specifically for this trip.

As usual, thank you for reading! I will be more active since I am free now. I've become lazy but since I am really behind on my posts, I will make sure I spend a lot of time working on improving my blog (and being up to date). Come back for more updates!
