Our Trip to Daegu & Hogsmeade (April 2016)

Hello! Welcome back!

Sorry for the long, long delay these past few weeks. University began 3 weeks ago and I didn't have time to get around to editing the photos. I also started a weightloss challenge with my friends and it hasn't gone very well, but I've got to try hard because I know I can!

I hope you all don't mind. I will be trying to update the few last trips I had in Korea. Since this is about from April and I stayed in Korea until the end of June, I don't have that many months of activities and trips left. But, I also left for Japan for 2 weeks after the semester ended. I will be uploading pictures from my trip there, too, after wrapping up on Korea. After Korea and Japan, I plan to upload random posts about my life here back home so I hope you all will continue to visit this blog.

Please look forward to the upcoming random updates~

This week's travels in South Korea will be on our trip to Daegu~ We travel around Daegu and went to a Harry Potter themed cafe!!! This actually happened before the Bukhansan hike but I totally skipped over it and didn't realize it. So, here's our trip!

On this trip, we actually took a midnight bus straight to Daegu and spent the night walking until we found a 24-hour Lotteria... I think. But we got to sleep for a while and had some early morning food.

A sleeping Minamo and Christina :]

After it was bright enough outside, we set off to go to Hajungdo but ate breakfast first at a Kimbap restaurant. Below are some of the dishes I took pictures of.

Rice with japchae.

Side dishes~

Manduuuuu~
We set off for Hajungdo Island. This place was filled with yellow canola flowers and the view was so pretty!

Beautiful!!!!

Our cool model and awesome photographer getting their photo shoot on~

Leaving the canola fields to go to Kim Gwangseok-gil Street.
Kim Gwangseok-gil Street is dedicated to this musician and he is all over the streets.

Boss Minamo telling Cook Sam to grill it deliciously!

Snapchat fun time~

After resting inside for a while, we went back for more walking~

A film site!

Located near the subway was a huge shopping mall.
Leaving the street, we took the subway to go find the market and after walking around a crowded market and everyone being tired and all, we decided to leave to Hogsmeade! Harry, we are coming~~

Learning some magic spells for future reference...

A game of chess anyone?

They looked so cool~~

The Marauder's Map!!!

Kiwi smoothie

This shop's version of butter beer. Butter scotch and sweet. Not alcoholic, I believe... just kidding. It's not alcoholic.

Hogsmeade ended the day's trip and we went in search of dinner. We had the shop's tofu, kimchi, and pork plate. It was delicious too! Afterwards, we headed off to sleep in the sauna/jimjjilbang for the night.

Minamo is sleeping across us to use the outlet.

Our morning consisted of finding the galbi jjim street~ It was the most delicious ever~~~~ I want to eat lots and lots more~ The side dishes are self-service after you finish your dish and they side dishes were also delicious!!

This is 3 servings.

LOOK AT IT! SPICY AND TENDER ♡♡♡
We were actually heading to a park but the buses did not run on this day because there was a festival on the streets. Instead, we headed to this park instead, Wolgok History Park.

After walking around the park, we headed home on another bus ride~ I miss taking trips with these girls ♡

All five of us were able to make time and travel together for this trip. We took public transportation and thanks to Debbie, we were able to navigate around with her iphone location services.
