Hi!
First of all Happy New Years 2017!!! I hope you all had a great one :]
For the start of the new year, I wanted to share my experience of my first marathon and the following two I did when I came back to Sacramento for the 2016 year.
I've never participated in marathons or thought I'd ever be but thanks to my friends, I went to my first marathon in South Korea. Then thanks to my cousin, Seng, I was able to participate in 2 more marathons when I came back. We didn't really run those 5k but walked instead, which is about 3 miles. It was a really great and fun activity that may be expensive for those who don't run. But for experience, it's really great and cheap if you buy the tickets early. When I told my mom how much it was, she was like "why are you paying people to run?!" But, the atmosphere and the people make it really exciting and fun so I enjoyed them.
My first one was Color Me RAD at Jamsil Stadium with Debbie and Minamo in South Korea on April 9, 2016 (SAT).
We actually had to take the subway home and it was about an hour commute to get off at Edae's exit. We had some stares in the subway and some old people asked us if we were doing it for an event (us being all colorful and stuff). It was a fun and funny experience. I cleaned up at the dorms (I used Debbie's shower since I didn't live in the dorms) then went and got dinner. After all that workout and walking in the colorful powders, we stuffed ourselves good at the buffet.
It was so fun that I did the next one with my cousins and younger sister when I came back to Sacramento.
