Going to Jeonju

Hi!!

For his week's travel I went with Debbie, Minamo, and Lisha for a one night and two days trip to Jeonju on February 29th to March 1st earlier this year. They're famous for their bibimbap/비빔밥 so we went to eat some and look around the village. When we left Seoul, I believe it was starting to rain and at the rest stop, it started snowing. While we were in Jeonju, it snowed on and off but it was really pretty~~~ For the night, we stayed in the jjimjilbang/sauna/찜질방 that was near the village and a few minutes walk away from the bus stop.

Day 1:

This looks like a really cool tour bus or city bus.

Here's where we had our first meal in Jeonju, Gogung.

Here's the regular bibimbap in a stone pot. I should have gotten a regular silver bowl one since it was so hot to eat.

This one is their famous raw beef bibimbap and what the girls ordered.

It comes together with their side dishes/반찬 and a cold bean sprout soup.

After waiting at the nearby bus stop, we realized that it'll take too long for the bus to come to that bust stop so we had to walk to another bus stop. On the way, we spotted these cuties!! The owners may have thought we were strange foreigners staying outside their store window for a good 5 minutes looking at their pets that we couldn't buy.

After Minamo decided to get coffee, they asked the owner and she suggested that we take a taxi since buses run differently ans that it'll be cheaper, too.

Well.... after talking to the owner, Minamo forgot to give back the buzzer so she took it with her to Seoul. She probably returned it (?) but Minamo was in a panic state when she realized what she had done.

They had a few more and we couldn't stop ourselves from stopping to look at them, puppies and kitties.

After we arrived in this area, it started snowing a lot.

Then... it stopped like it wasn't just snowing crazily earlier.

There's a hanbok rental shop here so if anyone wants to wear any, you guys can wear them here.

They tried to make it work but Minamo was scared. They did make it work at some point though.

Totoro~

Right next to the picture above is a small cafe. This is a picture of the wall inside.

We also bought a small black egg to decorate.

We also went to take a look around the market.

These paper have seeds in one part of the paper so when soaked, the seeds will sprout.

Translation: Because it's you, I like it/ I like it because it's you.

Time to go to the jjimjilbang~

Jung~~~ Cheese in the Trap was a very popular drama this year and this is the main character from the manhwa. The manhwa is not finished yet but the drama is so go watch it.

Day 2:

This day was the March First Movement for independence from Japan so there was a parade.

We decided to go exploring and when we got here, we decided not to go on the hike since it snowed and it could be dangerous for us who had no hiking gears.
