Singapore 2016 Part 1

For this week's adventure... it's Singapore~~

This is one of my favorite pictures that I've taken. It's so beautiful.

If you need a refresher, go back to here to read again :]

We went to Singapore on the 27th to the 31st of January and stayed in one of the Airbnb homes. They had washing machines and a kitchen space where you can cook yourself. We were about 10-15 minutes away from the subway station. A big thanks to Debbie and the girls for taking us places!

This part includes our travel from Kuching to Singapore on about a 2 hour flight, going to a night safari zoo, and exploring Singapore with food along with Marina Bay Sands (I wonder why I keep mistaking it as Marina Sands Bay, hehe~).

I haven't been able to upload lately due to school and exams but thank you for coming back~~

Heads up, I have about a few more post before I go back to my experience during my second semester in Korea so hang in there if you're here for Korea.

Enjoy the pictures!

Woohoo, more plane rides.

I had an awesome time in Kuching exploring and eating delicious food. Thank you once again to Debbie and her family~~~

These were really pretty and cool moving and shaping into different things.

A new map to learn, which I really didn't know how.

I spy Debbie~

We got our Tourist Passes.

We finally found our Airbnb. It's the left side, not the right. We never really heard the construction going on so it was fine. Our room also had a sun roof(?) where light came through. The room was big enough for us and the bed were pretty big too.

This was piece on our wall.

This is the rail that we took from the airport. We are actually on the bus right now heading to the Night Safari Zoo.

This is a shot I got while the bus was still moving. I am surprise that it wasn't blurry since the scenery was really beautiful.

A failed picture in a moving bus. It was the best one with all of us on the bus, but the girls weren't paying attention.

We're almost to the Safari~

YEAH~ Night Safari here we come~

Here's a map of the safari. We walked the first part then took the bus the later half of the trip since there were so much people waiting for buses. We were one of the few who actually walked the first part of the safari while everyone lined up for the bus rides. It was also my first time in a night safari so I was very excited. Pictures that I took were mostly blurry since flash would be too bright for the animals.

We actually made it time before the end of the fire show and was able to see them perform. This was after exiting the safari so we made our way home before the buses ended for the day.

The following day, we decided to explore around Orchard Road before meeting up with friends we made while at Yonsei since they were only there for the first semester.

Year of the Monkey.

This was a really cool painting.

This is a cafe that I will never forget. It's a place full of memories and looking at makes me miss you guys. I miss you guys a lot!!!

If I remember correctly, this is a lychee drink with basil seeds which tasted awesome!

This one was a coconut dessert with taro and small tapoica pearls.

We met up with our friends and headed for lunch. We were able to enjoy delicious food in Singapore thanks to them and had a great feast! This chili crabs was the best dish ever. I loved it! So DELICIOUS!

Seafood fried rice.

Milo Dinosaur.

Sugar Cane!

It looks delicious right!? It was. It was very, very delicious.

<3

We had an awesome meal then parted way at the station. I hope you guys are all well~
Our next trip was to Marina Bay Sands. We took a bus located in front of our accommodation and headed towards our  next destination

The famous Sands SkyPark.

They also had a humongous Ferris wheel located near here, too.

They have paintings and drawing of children's artworks displayed.

They were also setting up and getting ready for Chinese New Year, I believe. Lanterns and displays were still being constructed.

This is one of my favorite pictures that I've taken. It's so beautiful.

These are so adorable.

Here's a shot from the bridge.

Supertree groves. These were really pretty and interesting.

One of our awesome photographer, Minamo, who goes through great struggles to take awesome pictures.

Group shot <3

"Old Man Stone"

Can you see the face in this one too?

Here's the sky walk where you can pay an entrance fee and go above. Since the weather was not good, they had closed.

It started to pour down, and heavily, that we had to go find shelter.

But, a few shots more from the top doesn't hurt. The scene was worth it.

We took shelter in one of the biggest mall. It was humongous with many stories, a small river down on the first floor where people can ride to make it seem like they were in Italy, and very wide.

We rested a bit and ate some dinner.

This was the end of today's trip and we took the subway home from here.

What's better than to end the day with slurpee~ It was really refreshing after a long day of walking around.

Looking at these pictures makes me want to go traveling again. It feels like a dream to have gone to these places and to have actually eaten these food. So much has happened and it still feels like I've never gone here. I'm so thankful to have met friends that I can travel with, to be with, and to have experienced so much together with.

Part 2 of Singapore will be our trip to Sentosa and to Chinatown. Please look forward to it come up.

Thank you~~

♡ Christina
