Noryangjin Market, Deoksugung Palace, and Myeong-dong

PC: Minamo ♡

Hi everyone, welcome back!

Merry very late Christmas and late Happy New Year~! I hope you all had a fun, relaxing, exciting, and lots of food eating moments during your holidays and breaks. I know I had a great time video calling my family and hanging out with my friends ♡ For those who worked through the holidays, you've worked hard! Awesome job! *two thumbs up*

I know I said that I'll be able to upload every week but it's harder to actually do that than I thought it would be, hehe. This time, I decided change it up and make it into a slideshow/video format (inspired by my friend Michelle and her vlogs in Japan). I will slowly upload old and new photos onto my Facebook page, slowly... Then I will also slowly upload videos of what I've done so far before I officially travel with my friends :] So you can either watch, read or do both! I'll try to keep the videos to less than 5 minutes, but I can't promise that I won't go over...

First up on the list is the Fish Market. Way back on the 28th of November, my friends and I attended the last Global Angel activity that was at Noryanjin Fish Market. We met at the front gates of Yonsei and took the subway to Noryanjin Station. Here, we had to hand out hot packs to workers and explore the fish market, whichever we wanted to do. Everybody broke into groups after the meeting, heading off through the market. Debbie, Minamo, Sam, and I were together but split up after a few minutes to hand out hot packs. For some reason, it was weird that Debbie and I did not manage to meet any other members until we got back to the meeting place. We, or me (lol), did a poor job of handing out hot packs that the rest of our hot packs were passed out by Kay Kay and Olivia's group. Thanks girls! At the set meeting time, everyone came back to eat fish for dinner! I got to try this style of raw fish for the first time and it was not bad. I don't think I'll eat it again if I have to pay. I loved the fried fish dish the most! We were also told that we shouldn't eat the decorations for the raw fish but we did anyways! We got some stares from the Koreans but oh well, it was just radish. Why couldn't and shouldn't we eat it? No one told us anyways :] After we finished eating we headed out and ate Korean pancakes, hoddeok/hotteok/호떡 for snack~

We decided to head to Myeongdong for more food , street food to be exact, since we weren't full from this dinner. Taking the subway, we stopped at City Hall Station/ 시청역 and randomly decided to go inside Deoksugung Palace/ 덕수궁 since we saw it, it was open and was only 1,000 won (less than $1). It was so pretty at night. It's the second smallest palace from the 5 palaces. We didn't realize how small it was until we made a full circle to the beginning. I realized later the we didn't go to one section of the palace. Next time~~

We walked from City Hall to Myeongdong. I never knew that they were so close to each other. Only about a 10 minute walk from each other. From here, Shena also joined us for street food! We walked around for a while, got a few street food, then called it a night :]

Finally, after 2 and a half weeks a new post :] Thank you for always reading these long posts! A big thanks to Debbie and Minamo for providing pictures~~

I hope you enjoyed it! I'll try to post up the next one in a few days since I finished the video for it already :] It's 12:30 AM now so I'll be heading off to bed. I'll also be picking up my sisters from the airport in about 15 hours! I'm excited they are visiting me. Or more like they are visiting Korea lol! Goodnight!!

♡ Christina
