| After our tour around Myeong-dong, heading home and waiting for the subway. Shena still doesn't like me taking pictures of her lol :] |
Shena was able to have one of her friends take us around Myeong-dong so we left for the subway at 3 PM. We were able to fill up our student ID card with money and use it as a T-money card, which is used for riding buses, subways, and for most, taxis. For our first time taking the subway, we went in the wrong directions twice! The first one was when we were trying to go to Dongdaemun Station and went in the opposite direction. Then, the second time was when we had to transfer subway lines and went in the opposite direction of Myeong-dong. But, we were able to find are way around and got safely to our destination.
Here, we were trying to get WiFi so that Shena would be able to contact her friend, Paul (I believe), but the subway had no WiFi access. We walked around the underground stores and eventually went up the stair and received WiFi there. We met and he showed us around. There was so much people, Sinchon didn't seem to have a lot of people compared to Myeong-dong. I believe I also saw Namsam Tower, which I will be visiting in 2 days :]

We walked around, window shopping then we went to eat at a Korean fusion restaurant where they had pasta and cutlets. I got the spicy shrimp pasta (very good by the way and 6,700 won, if I remember correctly), Shena got the Kimchi and Cutlet, and Paul got (I believe) regular tomato pasta. He also treated us to drinks~ I got the grapefruit drink while they got the blueberry one. Mines was so sour with a kick of bitterness while theirs' were fruity and sweet. Theirs' was good but I liked how mines tasted sour :]

After eating, we went around window shopping again. Shena and I got new phone cases, Shena got a One Piece one and I got a fish looking one with a card pouch/mirror :] I was also able to get new nail polishes and a nail remover. My nail color have chipped since I did it 2 weeks ago. We made our last stop at the Patbingsoo shop and was treated by Paul with a Rice Powder flavored Patbingsoo. It was very good, too. He said it was a popular flavor. ZEA's Siwan was advertising the dessert too. (I didn't take a picture...)

We went our separate ways as we boarded different subways and Shena and I was able to make it back taking the correct subway lines and directions. Before we transferred to Subway line 2 for Sinchon, we stopped by a shop in the subway and bought snapbacks :] I'll be needing it for tomorrow's tour :] Yay! Gyeongbukgung and Hanok Village, here we come~~
We also only spent less than $4 traveling. It took around 30 minutes from Sinchon to Myeong-dong. Probably a little more since we got lost in the beginning :] Taking the subway didn't seem to be long either. We had to stand while on our way but on our way back we were able to get seats :]
Thanks for reading~~

Ahh~ Shopping heaven!!
ReplyDeleteHow can you pass on the deep fried squid?!
I really want some patbingsu too! Guess I'll have to wait next year.
Dude! I was so full from the food and patbingsoo. I want to go there again just to eat since they have a different variety of street food compared to the area around where I live. They all looked so delicious and awesome!!!!!!!!
