Lake Clementine and Memory Lane

July 18th, 2015

Today I went hiking with my family! Diana drove us to Lake Clementine~ I'm a little sore from the climbing but it's bearable. We left a little after 6 in the morning and got there after 7. We were lost for a moment, walking in the wrong direction and having Seng ask strangers for directions to where we were suppose to go. We found out we were walking in the wrong direction. We were already right next to the dam and though we had to hike 1.9 miles to it. We just had to walk down a small path to get to the dam since we parked next to it. We didn't have much of a hike but more of climbing down and up to and from the dam. It was still as fun though. It was beautiful!~~

After finishing the climb, we were deciding where to go next and Kalia wanted to go to San Francisco so we headed off to the San Francisco. But, because there were to much traffic, we decided that we would make a detour and visit West Sacramento where we used to live. After leaving the place for almost 15 years and visiting only once or twice since then, we visited an elementary and middle school where Diana and Seng used to attend. Then, we visited their old Maple Apartments. We remembered them to be bigger and more spacious but now its small and not as big as we thought. Then we visited the apartment my family moved from. I remembered that the apartments were so enormous and the playground was so big. It's remodeled but the place is so small. The apartment walls were suppose to be as high as fences but they were way shorter. The spacious park used to be hills but now it is only a small patch of grass. The parking lot from my memories where the apartment place had a party is so small. I remembered for some reason running so far to go jump in the air jumper and Seng also mentioned how she remembered that we had to go so far to fetch the groceries from the car when it was only a small distance from the parking lot to our house. The memories, the childhood memories~~
