I
want to dedicate this post to those that have encouraged, aided, and
contributed to the possibility of me being able to study abroad in
South Korea.
I
want to, first and foremost, thank my sister, Mary, who has
encouraged and have been through the whole process of the study
abroad program with me. She was there to share ideas and topics
relating to the essays and answer questions when I was lost. Along
with her I want to thank all my sisters, brothers, and cousins for
encouraging and supporting me in my interest in Korea and decision to
study abroad.
I
want to thank my parents who gave me relief and support towards my
decision when I told them about my plan to study abroad. Even though
they do not show it, I'm pretty sure, inside, they are reluctant to
let me go abroad alone.
I
want to thank my Professors, Professor Han Heeju, Pat Chirapravati,
and Dr. Cho Eun Mi, who encourage me to apply abroad, took their time
to write recommendation letters for me, and continuously provided
support for my interest in studying about Korea.
I
want to thank my adviser, Janis Silvers, who continuously showed me
the steps to applying and giving supporting words. I also want to
thank her for reading over my materials and essays.
I
want to thank my friends who have also encouraged, supported, and
expressed their opinions towards my studying abroad. I especially
want to thank Mai who has shared her experience from studying abroad
in Taiwan and excitement towards me going to Korea. Her stories and
advices has made me look forward to my own experiences in South
Korea.
Lastly,
I want to thank those who I have not mentioned specifically. Thanks
to you all that I will be able to travel abroad and study abroad.
